Strengthening International Collaboration - Visit of Professor from Université Le Havre Normandie

Our laboratory had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Cécile Guianvarc’h from LOMC at Université Le Havre Normandie, France, as part of our ongoing efforts to foster international scientific collaboration and promote opportunities for our students.

During her visit, Dr. Guianvarc’h delivered a seminar entitled “Acoustics of humid porous media”, where she presented recent advances in one of her research areas. The seminar attracted faculty members and students and generated stimulating discussions.

Dr. Guianvarc’h also actively engaged with members of our laboratory through research meetings and technical discussions. These interactions provided a good opportunity for our young researchers to gain further insight into international research practices and to establish connections with the broader scientific community.

A particularly significant outcome of our ongoing collaboration has been the successful award of funding for a joint PhD project. This represents an important milestone in the consolidation of the partnership between our institutions and reflects a shared commitment to scientific excellence, student mobility, and the development of long-term collaborative research networks between Chile and France.
