Vicente Cuevas Graduates with Honours and Continues Research in Acoustic Materials

ACOUSPHEM member Vicente Cuevas completed his undergraduate studies in Acoustic Engineering at the Universidad Austral de Chile, graduating with honours. His thesis, entitled “Diseño y construcción de un sistema de caracterización vibroacústica de materiales basados en madera”, was supervised by Dr. Rodolfo Venegas and supported by the project ANID Anillo de Tecnología ACT240015. This work introduced Vicente to the field of acoustic materials and the development of experimental measurement systems, representing a significant milestone in the development of his research interests.

Currently, Vicente is completing the MSc programme in Acoustics and Vibrations at Universidad Austral de Chile, where he continues to work on acoustic characterization of porous materials and the development of advanced measurement methodologies, supported by our project Fondecyt Regular 1250496.
